It all started with an electrical store 'D.Engels' in the 1930s in Antwerp, after which they have grown into today's Engels Group. They are a well-known wholesaler of electrical household appliances, as well as distributor of HVAC applications and solid surfaces.

Group Engels chooses a solid foundation with Dynamics 365

The Challenge

Because of the remarkable growth and transition Group Engels has gone through these past years, they moved from the Paardenmarkt in Antwerp to a brand-new building in Malle. Also, the IT infrastructure at the time could no longer meet the requirements of this growing company, this was the perfect time to switch to a modern ERP system to control their warehouse.

The Solution

With Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, extended with the iFacto Distri+ functionalities, all possibilities were available to implement a thorough WMS-controlled warehouse with warehouse scanning. On top of this ERP software, 3 fully integrated webshops were launched, including a PIM system. Meanwhile, administrative processes were simplified with a document management tool, reducing paper flow and lowering the administrative workload. The choice of a modern and flexible ERP solution, such as Business Central, enables Group Engels to continue their growth smoothly while their software provides the necessary support.
